New Beginners Group starting Wed May 11th, 2011 |

There will be a new beginners group starting May 4th which will be 7-9pm on Wednesdays. It will be a 12 week course with 2 hours per session. SyllabusAll major, minor and 7th chords in open position. Diminished and augmented chords Individual right-hand strums and riffs for particular songs Picking out melodies Playing a tune with accompaniment Ukulele tablature Simple solos in various styles Simple fingerpicking Movable chord shapes / barre chords Thirty songs are learned during the course of the workshop going from very simple 2 chord folk songs s to songs like Sunny Afternoon and California Dreaming using increasingly more complex strum patterns and some simple finger-picking. All the songs are well known so people feel they know what they are doing.
It is payable in advance £150 for the whole course including all music. It may have up to 15 people in it. If you want to book a place please email me to say you wish to do and send a deposit with a cheque for £50 made out to: : Tim Flitcroft Please pay the balance at the first session. When I receive your deposit I will email you a confirmation of your place. In the event of the workshop not taking place for any reason the money will be fully refundable. If however you book a place and do not take it up the deposit is non-returnable.
