New Beginners 2 Group starting Tuesday 10 May 2011

There will be a NEW “Beginners 2” course and is for anyone who already has experience of playing the ukulele for more than three months. It will mainly comprise students who have done the Complete Beginners course but there will also be some students from the intermediate workshop.

Syllabus

This is very much a continuation of the Complete Beginners course but is also for those who can play the basic chords already

 

Explanation of movable chord shapes and Barre chords in Major, Minor and Seventh shapes

Use of Voicings to increase variety in song accompaniments

More complex strums and fingerpicks including Three Strum roll and Rasgaudo

Various ways of playing solo pieces to play melodies and chords at the same time

Use of riffs and fills to make more complex accompaniments.

About 20 songs and pieces are learned in the course. More difficult pieces being learned over a number of weeks. Songs are well known such as Teenage Kicks and I Can See Clearly Now but some of the pieces are Hawaiian and will be less well known.

 

This course will also be 12 two-hour sessions, and will cost £150, payable in advance.

Please pay the balance at the first session. When I receive your deposit I will email you a confirmation of your place.

In the event of the workshop not taking place for any reason the money will be fully refundable. If however you book a place and do not take it up the deposit is non-returnable.
